Welcome to the website of the Kyoto Institute of Technology’s Applied Chemistry program. Are you interested in using chemistry as a tool to participate in a dialog with substances, materials, state-of-the-art materials, and bio-related materials? In doing so, you’ll be pioneering a new world.
The Applied Chemistry program consists of four courses of study (Polymeric Materials Design, Materials Chemistry Design, Molecular Chemistry Design, and Functional Materials Design), and it offers opportunities for study and research in a wide range of fields, including polymeric materials, plastics, textile materials, inorganic materials, ceramics, organic materials, rubber, bio-related materials, and pharmaceuticals. By treating these four courses as the warp and inter-course study as the weft, the Applied Chemistry program endows students with the comprehensive, chemistry-related knowledge they’ll need to pursue careers on the global stage.
